With the Fall semester under way, the DEI committee would like to welcome everyone back with our first Diversity Journal Club (DJC) of the semester! For our newer members of the department, DJC is a space to discuss current social issues in relation to Astronomy, Physics, and STEM as a whole in academia and beyond.
This week, we will meet from 12:30 - 1:30 pm on Thursday, September 14th in 4054 McPherson (the Astro Coffee room) for a welcome back introduction and of course pizza! 🍕 You can also join via Zoom here
DJC will continue to be held every other week on Thursdays at 12:30pm in 4054, where we will have a DEI topic to discuss each session. If you have a topic you would like to talk about with the group, don't hesitate to reach out to any member of the DEI committee or email Jennifer at johnson.3064@osu.edu -- we welcome suggestions from everyone!
