The Arne Slettebak OSU Planetarium offers a planetarium shows for the general public and private groups. We prioritize educational groups such as schools and youth programming.
Roof Nights and Star Parties
We hold a variety of class-related and public observing evenings on the roof of Smith Laboratory. Events are weather permitting and use a range of telescopes to observe the night sky.
Public Talks
We offer public lectures on current and emerging topics and issues in astronomy. Events are generally held on the OSU campus throughout the year.

Friends of Ohio State Astronomy and Astrophysics
The Friends of Ohio State Astronomy & Astrophysics (FOSAA) are supporters of our public outreach, education, and research missions. FOSAA is a joint initiative of the Department of Astronomy and the Center for Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics (CCAPP). It began in 2016 and has continued twice a year since. It has featured talks from world-renowned scientists at Ohio State as well as excellent students and postdocs beginning their professional careers.
