Astronomical Society
We provide an academic and social connection between students and faculty within the astronomy department, and promote academic and professional growth among astronomy students. We also provide a good atmosphere for non-astronomy majors by allowing them to learn much about the field that they would not normally experience in introductory courses or see in the public media. Throughout the year we have many opportunities to get involved with the club including star parties, game nights, faculty lectures, and even trips to observatories such as John Glenn Astronomy Park, Perkins Observatory, and Green Bank Observatory!
The club has weekly meetings on Thursday at 6 pm in the Smith Seminar Room (room 1080) in the Physics Research Building.
You can find out more by visiting their student org page, visiting their webpage or emailing astrosociety@osu.edu
