Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

I am a first-year graduate student working with Ji Wang, focusing on high-resolution spectroscopy of brown dwarfs—celestial objects that straddle the line between planets and stars. In addition, I investigate highly luminous accreting black holes, which act as strong gravitational lenses for background, higher-redshift galaxies. My work aims to refine our understanding of the relationship between black hole mass and the mass of their host galaxies. I am also deeply passionate about science communication, actively exploring how music, art, and planetariums can serve as creative mediums to share complex scientific ideas with the public.
