I am currently involved with the assembly of the iLocater, a novel near-infrared spectrograph that is optimized to study exoplanets around cool stars. I also work on characterizing low-mass stars in young star clusters. I have previously done work on (a) large surveys of late-type stars in the solar neighborhood, using spectroscopic and interferometric methods to study their kinematics and the dynamics of their orbit, and (b) evaluating the emission in the warm, ionized component of the ISM.
