Romy Rodriguez Awarded the AAS Beth Brown Memorial Prize at the NSBP

Graduate Student Romy Rodriguez

Romy Rodriguez, a graduate student of Astronomy, won the American Astronomical Society (AAS) Beth Brown Memorial Prize at the National Society of Black Physicist (NSBP) meeting for best poster presentation by a graduate student. The award will pay for her registration costs to attend the January meeting of the American Astronomical Society in Seattle. 

Romy was an undergraduate at the University of Puerto Rico and joined our graduate program through the Physics Bridge Program, with the support of a first-year fellowship from the Ann Tuttle Endowment for support of graduate education in Astronomy.
