David Weinberg Recognized As Highly Cited Researcher

Professor David Weinberg

Distinguished University Professor David Weinberg is one of two faculty members of the Ohio State College of Arts and Sciences who have been named to the annual Highly Cited Researchers 2021 list from Clairivate. The list acknowledges researchers who have published multiple, highly cited papers over the last decade. Fewer than 6,700 (or about 0.1%) of researchers around the world across multiple fields earned this distinction in 2021.

Professor Weinberg is the chair of the Department of Astronomy and a member of the Center for Cosmology and AstroParticle Physics. He studies the large-scale structure of the universe, dark energy and dark matter, the formation and evolution of galaxies and quasars, the intergalactic medium, and the origin of the chemical elements.

The other winner from the College of Arts and Sciences is Professor Matthew Sullivan of the Department of Microbiology.

Congratulations to both winners!
