The astronomy department is proud to present the graduating class for the academic year 2023-2024. We have 27 Astro majors graduating this Spring, along with 3 who graduated in Autumn, and 1 who will be finishing this summer. We also have 9 Astro minors and 8 completed Planetary Science Certificates. Only 1 student earned a Planetary Science Certificate but is not an Astro major or minor. While we graduated a few more Astro majors last year, this is the largest number of majors and minors combined that we have ever graduated! The 8 students who completed the Planetary Science Certificate is also a new record.

- Astro majors completed 5 different minors
- Astro minors come from 5 different majors
- 16 Astro majors heading off to Ph.D. programs in Astronomy, Astrophysics, Planetary Science, Physics, and Applied Physics
Numbers and honors will never tell the full story about any individual student. They will never include the stories of students who dealt with chronic mental or physical health issues, students who suffered unexpected losses in their lives or went through major life transitions during their time in college, students who had to take time away from school to deal with personal or family issues, students who were working over 20 hours every week on top of a full class schedule to make ends meet. Every student this year either began their time in college during the heart of the COVID-19 pandemic or were faced with that shift shortly after they began their path to degree. Regardless of your experience while at Ohio State, we are proud of you and all you have accomplished from academic to personal growth. We wish you all the best in your futures!
