Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. Portable Planetarium Party - Solstice Outreach

kids in planetarium dome - solstice outreach
May 2, 2024
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Physics Research Building Atrium

One of our recent undergraduate alums, Caitlin O’Brien, working with two other undergraduates, Bella Roberts and Jacob Griffith, were selected last year for the President’s Buckeye Accelerator Award.  Their project, called Solstice Outreach uses a portable planetarium to bring the excitement of science to underserved communities like kids in underresourced schools.  For the COSI Science Festival, as a one-time thing, they will set up in the Physics Research Building atrium to show us what they’re doing.

This is a great opportunity to bring kids or just anyone curious, plus learn about opportunities to get involved in future events.

Date Time Location

6–8pm, Thursday 2 May, atrium of the Physics Research Building. To find out more about the COSI Science Festival click here.
