Let's Go To Outer Space!
Dr. Michael Stamatikos will join the Columbus Symphony Orchestra in a major family event, Let's Go To Outer Space, on March 5, 2017. The event begins at 2pm with some outreach activities for kids and their families, and the concert begins at 3pm. The concert will include themes from Star Wars, E.T., "Jupiter" (from The Planets), and "Blast Off!" by American Composer Daniel Dorff. Dr. Stamatikos will give a short presentation before the concert on the physics of sound, and join the Orchestra to narrate "Blast Off!" and choreograph the display of images of outer space from NASA and other sources.More information is on the Columbus Symphony Orchestra web page.
