Title: SDSS-V LVM: IFU spectroscopy of the Milky Way and Magellanic Clouds at <10pc resolution

Speaker: Oleg Egorov (University of Heidelberg)

Abstract:

The Local Volume Mapper (LVM) is one of the three programs conducting within the SDSS-V surveys. Utilizing new robotic telescopes and a wide-field IFU, it preforms observations of the Milky Way, Magellanic Clouds, and Local Volume galaxies, enabling measurements of ionized gas and stellar feedback at spatial scales <10 pc in MCs and <1 pc in our own Galaxy. In my talk, I will provide an overview of the current status of the survey and highlight some ongoing studies and recently obtained results. I will conclude with a short tutorial on how to access LVM data using the tools available to SDSS-V members.
