Microaggressions 101 Workshop
The Diversity Committee is pleased to offer to the department staff, faculty, postdocs, and graduate students an interactive webinar/discussion on Microaggressions.
The first session Microaggressions 101 will focus on defining the term, presenting the evidence that it has on people's lives and careers, and giving examples.
The second session Microaggression 102 will focus on micro-interventions and responses, including how to respond if you commit a microaggression (unintentionally or not).
Both sessions will be facilitated by Sophia Antoun from the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. Because we hope to encourage open and honest discussion, the discussions in the webinar should stay confidential and we will not be recording them. If you cannot make the assigned times, there are campus-wide webinars on these subjects that you can sign up for.
