Diversity Journal Club — August 4, 2022
This Thursday we will continue our Diversity Journal Club. David Martin will lead a discussion on the use of the GRE with respect to graduate student admissions. This is something that affects the whole academic spectrum, from undergrads about to apply to faculty sitting on the committees.

A brief history of the GRE
Two articles on problems with it: Miller & Stassun 2014 (Nature) and the American Astronomical Society Bulletin in 2016
The community’s response over the past few years
