Astronomical Society

The Astronomical Society at The Ohio State University is primarily an undergraduate club at The Ohio State University for anyone who finds astronomy interesting. It provides an academic and social connection between students and faculty within the astronomy department and fosters a positive atmosphere for non-astronomy majors by allowing them to learn much about the field that they would not normally experience in introductory courses or see in the public media.

The club has weekly meetings on Thursday at 6 pm in the Smith Seminar Room in the Physics Research Building. There are many opportunities to get involved with the club including star parties, game nights, faculty lectures, and even trips to observatories such as John Glenn Astronomy Park, Perkins Observatory in Delaware, and Green Bank Observatory in West Virginia!
