Education

  • B.S. 2016, Physics, University of Tennessee, Knoxville

I'm a final year graduate student studying stellar evolution and its applications to galactic archaeology with Marc Pinsonneault and Jennifer Johnson. My work focuses on exploiting red giant surface abundances to determine their mass and age, and using that to learn about how stars and our galaxy itself change over time.

I have also spent a lot of my time here teaching and bringing some fun into undergraduate astronomy courses. I am pursuing the college and university teaching graduate certificate, and plan to receive it along with my Ph.D.
