Astronomy represented in 2020 highly cited researchers

Four faculty members in the Ohio State College of Arts and Sciences have been named on the annual Highly Cited Researchers 2020 list from Clarivate, including Astronomy's David Weinberg.

The list identifies researchers who demonstrated significant influence in their chosen field or fields through the publication of multiple highly cited papers during the last decade. Their names are drawn from the publications that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and publication year in Clarivate’s Web of Science citation index.

  • David Weinberg, Distinguished University Professor in the Department of Astronomy. Weinberg studies the large scale structure of the universe, dark energy and dark matter, the formation and evolution of galaxies and quasars, and the intergalactic medium. He also is a member of Ohio State’s Center for Cosmology and AstroParticle Physics.
