
Town Hall
The Undergraduate Studies Committee, Department heads, and UMAAC (Undergraduate Majors/Minors in Astronomy and Astrophysics Committee) would like to welcome you to the undergraduate townhall for Autumn 2021. If you are a student who is in our program or thinking about it you are welcome to participate.

Time: 5:00 PM
Where: Hybrid: McPherson 4054 (first 20 people), Zoom Meeting (information in your email or email astronomy@osu.edu if you did not receive the zoom link)
Topics will include the following:
- Code of Conduct (University + department)
- UMAAC – What it is and how you can be involved
- Classes for Spring – Changes and updates
- Research opportunities – Astro SURP, Physics SRP, REUs etc.
Format:
We will start the meeting with introductions from various people in charge of the department or the program. We will then talk briefly maybe 20 minutes about the above topics to inform you of important dates, changes, and actions to be taken. We will then open the floor for the last half hour for questions and comments from our undergraduate majors and minors. If there is a need for additional meetings to keep discussions alive we will schedule them for the future. UMAAC will also take any of these topics under advisement and help us to make sure all voices are heard.
