Emily is a fifth-year Ph.D. student at The Ohio State University working with David Weinberg and Jennifer Johnson. At OSU, Emily's research focuses on Galactic chemical abundances and chemical evolution. She uses data from surveys such as APOGEE and GALAH and chemical evolution code, VICE in her work. Emily is dedicated to fostering an equitable and inclusive STEM environment for all students, leading efforts such as Polaris in my own department. Emily has co-taught Astronomy 1221 (Astronomy Data Analysis) and TAed Astronomy 3350 (Methods of Astronomical Observation & Data Analysis) with Don Terndrup. She is also key member of the Arne Slettebak Planetarium team.
